Alisha Shumway is the creator of the Lil Witch Bitch brand. They are an illustrator based in Tacoma, WA, known for colorful, detailed artwork that bursts with personality and imagination. Their creative process is sparked by spontaneous ideas, often resulting in one-of-a-kind curiosities that blur the line between whimsy and wonder.

Medium & Style
Alisha works primarily in digital media, in a variety of styles. They enjoy creating engaging, storytelling pieces that range from playful to dramatic to monstrous! Whether it’s an adorable pet or a sassy ghost, every piece is crafted to feel alive and expressive. Alisha also uses 3D mediums such as clay, resin, and paper to produce unique oddities. From miniature butterflies to needlefelt Pokémon, they are always fabricating new tiny bits of magic.

Inspiration and Philosophy
Inspiration often strikes out of nowhere—a dream that has more plot than it should, a strange-looking branch on the side of the road, or a random comment from a small child. Folklore, warts, witchy aesthetics, vintage toys, and strange little details all find their way into the work, bringing an eclectic and unpredictable charm to the art. Art doesn’t have to be serious to be meaningful. Alisha believes in making space for the weird, the playful, and the unexpected—because sometimes the things that re-ignite our inner child are the most memorable of all.

Background
An artist from birth with a passion for strange stories, Alisha has been creating for as long as they can remember. They won several awards at local art events in Southeast Idaho (where they were raised), and studied under artists such as Nolan Parson, Leon Parson, and Brian Call. Alisha received a bachelor’s degree in illustration before moving to Washington and is now evolving a growing body of work to be shared online and at local markets.
